What to reply to a job application letter?
My boyfriend has a small business and he has to reply to a job application letter. Basically the business isn't big enough and due to the economic climate he doesn't want to hire the person so how would you word that letter?

- Dear.../ Thank you for your application which I have read with interest. However, at present it is not possible for me to employ anyone, so I regret that I am not able to offer you a post. Thank you for the interest you have shown in my business. You sincerely
- I would just send something short like: thank you for your interest in XYZ company, however, we are not currently hiring. We will retain your resume for six months. Should a position become available, for which you qualify, we will contact you. Good luck in your job search.
