How should I start my job application letter?

I am only 15 and looking for a new job in a town which is much closer to home than the one I currently work in. I am trying to create a letter to hand to shops/cafes where I would like to work. This letter is to basically ask if there are any job vacancies for waitressing etc.. But I'm not sure how to start it, any ideas? Thanks <3

  1. You don't really need a letter for these jobs. You can just walk in and ask for an application, or ask to speak to the manager about hiring opportunities.
  2. First you should always have a heading usually at the top and center it like this Your Name address phone number email any jobs: fill in the name of CO. Walgreens: 11/07/2008 Mcdonalds: 04/01/2009 job responsibilities: make sure separate if you have had more then 1 job, list everything you did. achievements: make it short and sweet no more than 4 sentences, per job goals: make it as long as you want, give the company an idea about what you want to do with there company, advancements, etc... references: people that will vouch for the type of person you are hobbies: make yourself sound interesting and fun, outgoing, really good one is that you should let the company know that you are a team player, company's love that. Follow those simple steps and you should have a rock solid resume, and if you dont have any previous job experience, thats okay your young, just follow the steps right after that one and it should be awesome. good luck
